What a message on your screen means

The exact words the app shows when something needs your attention, word for word — and what to do about each one.

The app tries to say plainly what happened and what to do next. Here are the messages you are most likely to see, quoted word for word, and what each one means.

Signing in: "That code didn’t match. Codes expire after an hour." means the code you typed was wrong or too old — ask for a fresh one and use the newest. "We couldn't send that code — check the email and try again." means the code did not go out — check the address for a typo and resend.

Counting from photos: "We couldn't draft counts from these photos. Nothing was lost — enter the counts yourself, or try again." means a photo could not be read; nothing is lost, so type the count in or retake it. "Drafting from photos is not switched on for your account yet. Your photos are saved — enter the counts yourself and carry on." means camera drafting is off for your plan; your photos are still saved. "These photos were already drafted — open the review queue." means you already sent these; the draft is waiting in Review.

Sending your list: "Add your business address in Settings before sending — every email must carry it." means the law needs a postal address in the footer; add it in Settings. "Sending to subscribers is a Starter feature." means broadcasting is on the paid plans; see the Plan and billing screen. "This list was already sent. Publish a new version to send again." means a published version goes out once, so publish a fresh version to send again. "Publish the list before sending it." means send is only offered after you publish.

Orders and syncing: "This request was already handled." means someone — maybe you, on another device — already accepted or dismissed it. "Removed while you were offline." means the lot you changed was deleted on the server while you had no signal, so your change could not land. "Conflicts with something already on the server." means a change you made offline clashed with one already saved; open the sync sheet to see what changed.

Most messages name the one thing to do next. If a message ever leaves you stuck, reach us — a real person reads it.
