Didn’t get your sign-in code?
We email a 6-digit code every time — there is no password. Here is what to try when the code does not show up.
There is no password to remember. Every time you sign in, we email a fresh 6-digit code to your address and you type it in. That is by design — nothing to forget, nothing to leak.
You will not do this often. Once you are in, you stay signed in on this device until you sign out — a code only comes up on a new device or after a fresh sign-out.
If the code has not arrived after a minute, check your spam or junk folder first. A code email can land there the first time, before your mail app learns to trust it.
Make sure you used the address your account is under. A typo or an old work address sends the code somewhere you are not watching — tap "Use a different email" and enter the right one.
Each code works once and expires after an hour. If yours has gone stale, ask for a new one — the newest code is the only one that still works.
Sent yourself a few in a row and nothing arrives? Wait a short while before trying again; back-to-back requests get slowed down on purpose. The code is always a 6-digit number — if an email ever shows a link instead of a number, that is a setup problem on our side, so reach us and we will fix it.
